Business Development Manager – Pensions & Corporate Finance – Mid Senior

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving the commercial growth and market positioning of NIMED Capital. This mid–senior level role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and closing high-value deals across the firm’s key investment solutions—including Pensions, Collective Investment Schemes (CIS), Corporate Finance advisory, Private Wealth Management, and other institutional funds.

The successful candidate will lead client acquisition initiatives, represent NIMED in business forums, and collaborate closely with internal teams to align product offerings with market demand. This position requires a blend of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and commercial leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, a proven ability to originate and convert leads, and a passion for building long-term client relationships that drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across pensions, private wealth, corporate finance, and investment products.

  • Lead the full client acquisition process, including prospecting, pitching, proposal development, and deal closure.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, fund trustees, retirement scheme managers, and high-net-worth individuals.

  • Collaborate with internal investment, research, and marketing teams to design bespoke financial solutions for client needs.

  • Represent NIMED at investor briefings, industry conferences, and stakeholder meetings to enhance brand presence and drive business leads.

  • Monitor market trends, client feedback, and competitor activities to inform business development strategy and product innovation.

  • Generate performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management to inform strategic planning.

  • Ensure all client engagement activities comply with GSE, SEC, and internal regulatory standards.

  • Assist in onboarding new clients, coordinating with legal, compliance, and operations to ensure a seamless experience.

  • Contribute to team mentoring, knowledge sharing, and the development of sales tools and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, corporate finance, or investment sales within financial services.

  • Licensed Investment Banker with valid GSE or CISI certification (mandatory).

  • Proven success in originating and closing deals with institutional and high-net-worth clients.

  • Strong knowledge of investment products, capital markets, and client advisory processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and proposal development software.
