Business Development Manager – Pensions & Corporate Finance

Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing corporate finance deals and pension fund management opportunities. The role requires a highly motivated and proven sales professional with a strategic mindset to grow NIMED’s transactions and clientele base.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify opportunities to promote NIMED’s products and capabilities to clients based on their unique needs.
  • Develop business solutions, create pension fund opportunities, and execute corporate finance transactions to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and manage a pipeline by identifying prospective investors, marketing NIMED’s investment products, and cultivating strategic relationships.
  • Lead corporate finance deal origination, including debt and equity fundraising, and work closely with clients to develop tailored financing strategies.
  • Prospect and convert potential clients into revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Present new products and investment solutions to clients to enhance existing relationships and address their evolving financial needs.
  • Conduct market research and prospecting to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Attend meetings (both virtual and in-person) with key stakeholders, providing updates on performance, opportunities, and investment strategies.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, corporate finance, pension fund management, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Must be a Licensed Investment Banker with certification from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) or CISI.
  • Proven track record of success in a proactive business development or sales role.
  • Ability to generate and nurture leads while strategically developing new business opportunities.
  • Extensive relationships with Pension Fund Trustees and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
